About us
tech you kindly was founded in New Zealand by Ken Chertok, a friendly New Yorker, who has lived in Auckland for the last ten years. At tech you kindly, we're on a mission to make technology simple and accessible for older adults. Our team of friendly tech experts is dedicated to providing patient and personalised tech support to help you navigate the digital world with confidence, while treating you like a person.

Testimonials
The tech you kindly philosophy
Let’s be honest, tech support isn’t always that supportive. The “techie” comes to your home, frowns at your misbehaving device and, if you’re lucky, tells you what’s wrong with it in terms that are at most 40% understandable.
Or, they spend a good amount of your session checking the time - because they’re on the clock, and have to rush off to their next appointment. They barely give you enough information (that you can actually use) to avoid calling them back again for the same issue. And sometimes they can even make you feel bad for calling about something that they think is too small.
Perhaps most importantly, you often don’t know who is going to show up, because any one of their crew could be there at any time. In these times of security and privacy worries, knowing who is helping you and accessing your devices is very reassuring.
tech you kindly was created to solve all of these challenges.
Security
- You will always know which tech you kindly staffer is coming to visit you - no surprises or uncertainty.
- Our staff are cleared by NZ Police.
- tech you kindly policies (of which you will receive a copy) clearly outline what types of information our employees will and won’t access. For example, they will never access your banking information.
- As tech you kindly is obsessed with privacy and confidentiality, we will gladly provide and sign a confidentiality agreement upon request.
Time
- Our sessions with you are set out as 90-minute “visits.” We call them that, because there’s no reason for you to feel rushed, especially with something that isn’t always intuitive.
- We take the time to understand the issues, explain (in non-techspeak) the possible solutions, and make sure you’re comfortable with those solutions.
- Taking the time to get to know you is very useful. While tech you kindly doesn’t sell electronics, we can let you know of any new devices or technology that could be helpful and where in NZ you can buy them.
Communication
- Yes, this is a repeat (but it’s worth it), we speak in English - not technospeak. We'll make sure you understand what the issue is and how we fixed it, so that you feel comfortable.
- You’ll know who is coming to your door when you make your appointment, so that you can feel confident and secure.
- We’re available by phone or email, so that you can reach us whichever way is most convenient for you.
